Dr. Dayna Long

For almost 20 years, Dr. Dayna Long has been a pediatrician at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Since 2015, Dr. Long has served as the Medical Director of the Center for Community Health and Engagement. Dr. Long’s work focuses on population and preventative health through research, community engagement and programs focused on achieving health equity for all children.

In 2012, she developed the hospital’s Family Information and Navigation Desk (FIND) which addresses the social and environmental factors affecting children’s health outcomes.

As founder and director of FINDconnect, Dr. Long has been instrumental in building the capacity of health care providers to have the tools necessary to screen, refer and provide case management to families whom have unmet basic needs.

Digable, Inc.

Since 2015, Digable has worked tirelessly with Dr. Dayna Long and the amazing FIND team at UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland to develop and perfect the FINDconnect™ platform.

Through a rapid iterative approach – the years of extensive research conducted in the creation of the FIND program has been translated into a secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud platform to facilitate the various functions needed to screen, refer, and follow up when addressing the social determinants of health. The platform has undergone three phases of usability and usefulness testing with an extremely short feedback loop based on daily usage of the platform by the FIND Desk at UCSF Children’s Hospital Oakland.
